This is the cheap, always-on panel. 1600×900 at 19 inches is a low pixel count by modern standards, but the point is that it is never the window I am working in — it holds a terminal, a dashboard, documentation or a chat client. Being IPS with 178° viewing angles means it is readable from an angle, unlike the TN panel here. The touch input is what distinguishes the Ht from the plain P2014H and it is what makes it usable as a control surface.
The always-on reference screen. Anything that needs to be glanced at rather than read closely lives here, which frees the 1440p panel for actual work.
1600×900 is the weakest resolution in this list and 60Hz makes motion visibly choppy, so it is not for anything involving movement. 19 inches is small enough that text gets tight at native scaling. It is also an older commercial display that Dell no longer sells, so parts are increasingly hard to source.
