180Hz is the number that makes this display worth having. It is above the 165Hz most panels settle for, and on a 1440p IPS panel the result is smooth motion without the colour and viewing-angle problems that come with pushing a TN that hard. 2560×1440 at 27 inches is the practical sweet spot: enough pixel density to read code comfortably, without needing GPU scaling. The height and rotation adjustable stand is standard at this price and not worth remarking on except that it is there.
The main display for general work and for gaming. It carries the desktop, and it is the one I am looking at most of the day.
A 180Hz IPS panel of this specification is close to the point where the refresh rate is the marketing and the panel is the compromise — expect some colour shift at the edges off-axis, and IPS glow is possible in dark rooms. There is no local dimming or HDR worth the name, so it is a good SDR display and nothing more.
